the very cliched stereotyped answer to tell someone who is going through a rough time would probably be, "everything happens for a reason, dear. HE has a bigger plan in store for you."
but more often than not, it really is the best answer. i guess one of the reasons why people refuse to accept that as an acceptable valid reason would be because when they do, they are admitting that they dont have control over their life anymore; because though it is technically their life, HE was the one who made it theirs in the first place; & living a life of uncertainty is often scary enough to kill them.
however, we always tend to forget the most important factor in all of this: the very fact that it is HIM we are surrendering everything to; & so if HE doesnt know it, no one else will. so there is really nothing to fear, there is really no reason to hold us back; other than our own ego & pride. it is really up to us to choose our own path. it is either ourselves, or GOD; but dont go blaming HIM when we end up choosing the wrong path, cause HE is gracious enough to pull us out of it; we brought this disappointment upon ourselves. it is actually not impossible to do everything for GOD, it is just the journey to doing it.
so what say you?
to constantly place self before others & GOD even, to choose to always face disappointment just because we are afraid of not taking control of our future? or to surrender it to HIM, whereby in actual fact by doing so, we are making the smartest choice in letting HIM take control of our lives instead?
"at some point, you have to make a decision. boundaries dont keep other people out; they fence you in. life is messy. that is how we are made. so, you can waste your lives drawing lines, or you can live your life crossing them; but there are some lines... that are way too dangerous to cross." - meredith grey
